Brocades for 2007

The big thing in Fashion for spring of 2007 is Brocades. With the release of Marie Antoinette (The visually beautiful movie created by Oscar winning director Sophia Coppola), the fashion world is abuzz with images of brocades and golden gilded ... well... everything.

I recently happened upon this (although Restoration Hardware announced it's creation awhile back) and thought people may be interested. It's only a matter of time before fashion spills over to decor.

I've linked the word Brocade to wikipedia, in an effort to shed more light. The couch would be the focal point - the fabric is a green brocade.

Can I ask a stupid question? What's a brocade? What should I be looking for in the picture?
