Bedroom Wall Woes

I have an interesting problem. Interesting for others, but driving me batty. I have moved into an apartment that is the old Mayor's mansion in the town I live in. It really is a super cool space. Large rooms, hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows, a grand entrance.... Just great. EXCEPT the master bedroom. Someone, I have no clue who, felt that putting a chair rail around the room with popcorn ceiling style stucco stuff on the lower half was a good design decision. First this amazing bed by Au-Lit. The color is modern, but the shape is Louis XIV. I think the statement this would make in a reletively muted room would be incredible. Brocades for 2007

The big thing in Fashion for spring of 2007 is Brocades. With the release of Marie Antoinette (The visually beautiful movie created by Oscar winning director Sophia Coppola), the fashion world is abuzz with images of brocades and golden gilded ... well... everything. I recently happened upon this (although Restoration Hardware announced it's creation awhile back) and thought people may be interested. It's only a matter of time before fashion spills over to decor.
