Suggestions for challenging space?
By sabbyI have a new apartment and I really love this space, I think it is going to look great. Brief description: Living room, ~19x13, wood floors, high ceilings, track lighting in the bottom area. Half wall bar next to the kitchen. Two windows on the bottom and one on the left. I live alone, but would like to be able to entertain a modest (4-6) amount of people.
I am being challenged by some factors here:
There are 3 entrances: 1. A seldom used back door, but I would rather not block it. 2. The kitchen (has a bar). 3. The rest of the apartment- (Two bedrooms/bathroom/front door). I want to keep a good traffic flow.
Also there is a closet in the upper right that is 'sticking out' into the room.
My current furniture is: Loveseat, Chair, Coffee table, End Table, Television 36". I would really like to add a dining-ish table, but I think I only have room for a ~40" pub type table. I can add other small tables and bar chairs as necessary.
I've got three 'okay' ideas for a layout so far, but I am a novice. If anyone can suggest anything better, or tweak what I've got that would be great!!!
Here are my thoughts/problems about these:

1. Bad things- Main path goes through television viewing angle, (minor problem as I live alone). Lower left window is blocked by end table.

2. Bad things- Television may be a little close to seating. Second entrance to loveseat a little tight and blocks TV. Good things- now there are clear pathways without blockng television, added a seperate 'reading nook' with rocking chair in the top area.

3. Bad things- Main path goes through the television viewing angle again. Lower right window is blocked. Good things- seating area at an angle for more interest. Pub table area isn't so crowded.
Thanks again for looking!
