What will be under RoadVermins Tree?

By roadvermin

It was so so hard to decide what to choose from the myriad of DIY delights available at Amazon. This was made even harder by the fact that alot of the really cool stuff doesnt ship overseas which concerns us as we live in France. So I had to say bye bye to the beautiful Dremel multi tool, farewell to the twelve month subscription to Make magazine and au revoir to the nifty compression clamps I spotted.

So after much surfing and dissapointment I decicded on four items which I felt fill every step in the creative DIY process. Inspiration, Planning and Realization.

To fill the inspiration step I picked Phaidons Design Classics, a three volume coffee table set of books on a nice little stand thingy. Its quite expensive at $129.49 but from what Ive been told its an extremely interesting book for anyone with an interest in design.

 Design Classics...

There is nothing more useful when planning a project than a good notebook. Useful for sketches, material (Shopping) lists and for taking notes when you are struck with the shovel of inspiration as you go about your day. So for this item I picked the classic Moleskine notebook at $14.95.

When it comes to realizing any project there is nothing more useful than one of those multitool thingys. The Leatherman Fuse is a tool which includes an array of little inpliments mostly focused at electrical work which just happens to be my field. $36.99, I want this so bad.

This last item I just picked because I need a glass cutter:-/ and at $3.50 I might as well throw it in the mix.

My total comes to $184.90.

Well thats it my complete list Curbly I wish you all merry Christmas and a happy new year...
