Design Biennale.

By roadvermin

I just found out that the Biennale Internation Design 2006 is taking place this week in St. Etienne, it is open to the public from the 24th of November to the 3rd of December and tickets are €12.00 available from FNAC. This really reinforces what my partner has been telling me about St. Etienne since I arrived here in France. We are sure to do a post about it when we get back next week.

More about the city:

St. Etienne is about a 30 minute drive from Lyon. Known as a student city, the city has taken on the recognition of being 'the' design & technology place to be in our part of Southeast France. Admittedly, the city isn't highly regarded by proud Lyon locals but I have a feeling that great things are developing in the area and look forward to our trip there. The design community and youthful vibe will certainly help the city's image and accommodate those looking for  an alternative to Lyon's rising cost of living.
