I'm one of those people who loves to make things - pretty much anything. I sew, do beadwork, fused glass, love to cook (fantastic at it, too!), and everything in between. My style looks like hippy-gypsy, and whenever someone comes to my house for the first time they are constantly looking around in some sort of glazed over awe. I used to wonder if that was a bad thing, but I've been assurred that it's something like a museum. "There's so much to see," they'll say. I have an affinity for things a little dark and twisted, with a whimsical flair.
I also have a love for recycling items that would otherwise find themselves in an landfill, and remodeling them in some way to make them into fashionable, if not usuable, home decor. I have turned some odd things into lamps with fantastic results. I love light, so naturally lamp-making or otherwise lit focal points interest me. Also, old windows, vintage door knobs, antique plumbing fixtures... all can find new use and beauty in a new life. I have so much fun and gratification when something I've thought about materializes into something fabulous.

Redecorating on the cheap
