Comments - How To: Make a No-Sew Fold and Glue Garden Bench Cushion

Lauren on May 21, 2012:

I'm using my old worn out mattress pad as the stuffing. I'll be able to make at least two bench covers with that. I may even try using an old comforter in another project.

Thank you so much for saving my wedding guests from sitting on bare metal picnic tables!

You're project will be so elegant and economical for me. :)

Thank you so much for posting this. I am going to try this for my kitchen window seat. Hopefully I will be able to find thick pads to make the cushion more comfortable for longer sitting. Any suggestions where to get padding for cushions? I live in the DC area.

Darla-I know. I wondered if anyone would see that. I weeded once in the early Spring but it needs it again. Luckily, I don't get poison ivy. Good eye!! This would work great for an indoor bench.

I loved the colors together. I want to do this project for an indoor bench. I also have a word of caution, I believe that  there is poison ivy growing in the area of one of the bench legs, be careful!

I've often thought of doing this and didn't have the courage. Thanks for the dummy proof photos.
