This is great Chris. Thanks! I try to always have fresh flowers on the kitchen table during spring and summer and some flowers just do not last long at all. Most of the hydrangeas I cut wilt within a day or two. Hopefully this will help.
My only question is...so how much of this mixture do you add to water? Is this enought for a gallon? a quart? I looked on the Cottage Living site but I didn't see an answer there. Or maybe I just missed it.

Hi Jim,
The recipe calls for a quart of water, so I presume the ratios are right just to fill up the vase, and save the rest for a change.
