Comments - How to Extend the Life of Fresh Cut Flowers.

oooops...yeah I see it now.  I think maybe I need more coffee.  Thanks Chris.

Hi Jim,

The recipe calls for a quart of water, so I presume the ratios are right just to fill up the vase, and save the rest for a change.

This is great Chris.  Thanks!  I try to always have fresh flowers on the kitchen table during spring and summer and some flowers just do not last long at all.  Most of the hydrangeas I cut wilt within a day or two.  Hopefully this will help.

My only question is...so how much of this mixture do you add to water?  Is this enought for a gallon?  a quart?  I looked on the Cottage Living site but I didn't see an answer there.  Or maybe I just missed it.

Jim
