Google for "mp3 pillow". They are pillows you can plug your mp3 player or other audio source and listen to. Haven't tried them but it seem sit would work. I found one at Ross's for 5 dollars and gave it away as a gift for Christmas.

I think the easiest, but probably a bit more expensive, route would be to grab something like this, and simply extend and mount the speakers. You could put them empty,round speaker housings to match the bed above, or mount them on oscillating brackets, so that your son could angle the speakers to prime listening position.

Chris, I was totally thinking you might could make one of these, but I was unsure of how hard it would be to wire. Do you think the wiring would be hard to do?

If you've already got a bed, you could totally DIY one of these. If the bed doesn't have a headboard, you could get one cut out of plexi-glass, which would match the i-Color asthetic. Paint it gray, and you've saved $600!
