Washing form-fitted showers

By phatato

This is not for the tile friendly. If you have a shower that's form-fitted over an existing shower (you know, sliding glass doors, shelves attached to the shower wall, etc.), I've noticed that spray cleaners do not work the way I would like them too. Scrubbing Bubbles works OK, but it makes my bathroom smell like an institution. What I've found that works really well to clean the soap scum and shaved-leg residue off the shower walls is to get a wash cloth and use good, old-fashioned dish soap. I work up a great lather, get on my hands and knees (because I'd have too anyway) and scrub down the shower. I rinse it clean and there are an array of smells. Right now I'm using the holiday Method soap Vanilla Peppermint. But if you like orange, lemon, berry, apple...etc. it smells much better than Scrubbing Bubbles (and it's more Earth-friendly, too).

This could work on tile...I'm not sure. If you would like to give it a try and let me know...I'll update this post for all showers!

About: I am a mix-match of styles. My favorite is buying something really cheap, but then...

Soap is also great on tile.

For a less expensive, but no less earth friendly solution - fresh lemon juice (or lime juice) and baking soda.

Vinegar and baking soda works as well, but doesn't smell quite so nice :)
