I'm nineteen years old and in my first year of college. I'm studying film/video, and I live in a dorm.

 I'd love to have a place of my own that I can decorate, but so far, I just have a dorm room, which I share. But it's a good jumping off point.

How Can I Divide up My Room?

I am currently going to school in California, but I was thinking about how I can fix up my room at my parents house once I get home.

I have a lot of stuff (I'm a bit of a pack-rat), and I only have the one room to keep it all in. It's a rectangular room with no real privacy once you enter it-- you can see everything from the get go, and I've always hate that. Dorm Dreams

Anyone know of ways that I can make my dorm a little more cozy, without annoying my roommate too much [we have offending styles]?

I've put up posters and I have a bookshelf and try to make good use of my space, but i'm still not feeling it. And her side is almost completely bare. I have little to no money, but are there any little things I could do to make it feel more like a home and less like a prison cell?
