Recycle a Water Bottle Into an iPod Carrier

What will ever happen to all of the un-recycled plastic water bottles we thoughtlessly toss with reckless abandon? Crafty McCrafter Michelle, over at Dollar General Store, was inspired by the recycled bottle coin purse project, so she decided to take it to the next level and make an iPod carrier out of 20 oz. water bottle.  Grabbing a water bottle in your bag is a whole lot easier than digging around for your iPod in your bag. Michelle gets you started with:

  • Recycled soda bottle, on hand
  • Zipper, $1 or on hand
  • Craft punch, on hand
  • Needle & thread, on hand

See the entire post with Michelle's take on the coin purse and read her tip for sewing the zipper.

Total cost: FREE to $1

And what about using these as containers for things like to-go Cheerios in a diaper bag, sunglasses case, makeup case and on and on.
