am i sewing yet? No but Im at work. i dont have time to find fun fabric and do this stuff at night. My lifes' very busy. I just need theideas and I move on them whenever I can.

O.K.-Check out this over the door laundry bag I just made to show you what I was talking about.  You can adapt any part of it. 

Friends of ours have a daughter that went off to college last year.  As a gift my wife made her a unique laundry basket.  She took 2 pairs of beat up jeans, ripped one set of stiches out of the legs of each pair of jeans, and then sewed both pairs together.  One leg was for cold wash items, the other for warm.  As the legs filled up with dirty laudry you could acrtually stand the jeans up on their own.  She did add a drawstring to look like a belt but you could always use a pair of suspenders instead. 

She also added some patch work pockets for holding soap, quarters and such for when she takes her jeans laundry basket to the college laundry room.

No reason you couldn't do this and mount them to a stand so that they are always upright.  Or maybe some hooks from the ceiling and bungee cords...then they can dance around.

We had these when we were kids. They were hung on coathangers though, which you hung over your doorknob. It was sort of like a big garment bag with a small hole in the top for the coathanger hook to go through, and a big opening on the front for your clothes to go in. No ropes or anything that got tight when it was full. Infact i think it even had a big zip opening to get everything out again on laundry day but you could make a much simpler one with the one hole only i'm sure.

I'll try to whip one up later today to show you.

Im not envisioning this. I have seen two with 2 handles but when they get tight is just tight in a horizontal. maybe Im picturing it ioncorrectly

You can use a round hoop that cross-stitchers use.  Sew over the hoop and you have a constant circular opening for easy tossing in of clothes.

Well, here's my second comment to you today.  Why not make a laundry bag that has two round handles, like the plastic purse handles you get at JoAnn Fabrics.  You'd have to make the bag yourself or adapt the one you have by taking the stitching out from the sides about 8-10 inches down, reinforce it where the stitching stops, fold over the remainder of each side around the handle and stitch in place.  Then, you can hang the round handles on the doordknob.  If you need to, I could make a photo tutorial.  See purse hande on my blog-modhomeecteacher-polka dot dog leash.
