Help with an in-shower window.

By meandeli

I'm in the very slow, very painful process of moving, and the new place has a rather large (for a bathroom, at least) window smack in the middle of the shower wall. Since I'm not one for giving my neighbors free thrills, I need to find a solution to this problem. Currently, there is a very ugly plastic curtain hanging in the window, but it's mildewy and hideous. I'm looking more for something I can do to the glass (that isn't permanent in case the next residents hate it (I'm a renter, sadly) to give me privacy, but still let in the light. It should last at least a year, however. So please, Curbliers, tell me what you would do. Thanks!

I had the same set up in our old house. I bought some frosted window film at Home Depot. It works like a champ. Lets plenty of light in while you are in the shower and is really easy to install. Soapy water and a squeegie.

You might want to check these guys out. They seem to have a lot to choose from. I kinda like this one!

To really add some interest to the window, you could use a kit to simulate stained glass on the window - these kits allow you to paint on the window and it just peels off when you're ready to remove it.
