I like to call my style a very modern/minimalist approach, however, I am broke and so most of my home's contents were given to me. I try to make the best of it, though. Living in an apartment with chocolate brown carpet and sauder cabinets does everything it can to stifle creativity (especially when you're not allowed to paint) so my favourite thing in my entire residence is the collage wall of photo frames full of awesome pictures of my kids. Currently, I'm creating some small paintings for each of my bathrooms, which I've decorated in bright colours to help me wake up in the morning. What I desperately want and need is some functional and stylish shelving that will conveniently hide away all the stuff I just can't bear to part with but have no use for.

Peeling Bathroom Paint?
By meandeli
my best friend and i are both currently having this problem. her condo and my house were both painted before we moved in, and so we had no say in what paint was used. however, it's now peeling (i'm guessing from the moisture) and we're both wondering what to do about this problem. i assume there is a specific type of paint we should be using in such a humid room, but what should we do about the paint that is already there and is peeling? neither of us want to just paint over it and have the ugly texture beneath, but i know that neither of us want to mess with anything that is drastically involved either, so where's the middle ground? thanks in advance to all of you wonderful and intelligent Curbliers!

Help with an in-shower window.
By meandeli
I'm in the very slow, very painful process of moving, and the new place has a rather large (for a bathroom, at least) window smack in the middle of the shower wall. Since I'm not one for giving my neighbors free thrills, I need to find a solution to this problem. Currently, there is a very ugly plastic curtain hanging in the window, but it's mildewy and hideous. I'm looking more for something I can do to the glass (that isn't permanent in case the next residents hate it (I'm a renter, sadly) to give me privacy, but still let in the light. It should last at least a year, however. So please, Curbliers, tell me what you would do. Thanks!
