I adore my house. It's a cute bungalow built in the 1940's on a tiny little dead-end street. There are huge city drainage ditches out front and back, and they're lined with trees. That means we don't have to look at other people's houses from our front-door , and the back ditch splits our back yard into two yards connected by a bridge over the moat. It's unique, it's cozy, and private.
Our decorating style is funkier than I'd ever have planned. It's a mix of family antique furniture and modern accent pieces and modern fabrics. Lots of blues, greys and greens with dark wood accents. Black & white photos and paintings.
Since it's a 2bed/1 bath, we will outgrow it. We hope to build someday in a contemporary barnhouse style out in the country.
