sense of style is definately island chic or tropical modern whichever description you prefer.

My house is still in the conceptual stages, hoping this can be a forum to document its materialisation

I'm an architect so of course I've already been buying stuff for my house. I don't remember the last thing I bought, but the next is a hammock, then a butterfly chair, then a Corbusian chaise lounge, et al.

Hello, and welcome to Curbly! I'd love to see some pics of your home! Here in Minnesota we don't see too much 'island chic' (at least not in the colder months).
