I live in Minneapolis with my boyfriend and our extremely spoiled dog, Bogart. I guess my style would be described as simple and modern, yet very classic. My favorite room, as far as decorating and design, is the kitchen. I could spend hours looking at kitchens. Of course, no matter the room, everything must coordinate with the dog. ;)

3D Snowflakes!

By lizandbogart Img_4997-1

I hope this hasn't been posted already.

I am a teacher, and recently I saw these 3D snowflakes hanging up in another classroom. They are a lot of fun to make and not too difficult.

Materials

6 sheets of square paper

tape

stapler

scissors

Directions

Step 1: Take one sheet of paper, fold into a triangle by folding one corner down to the opposite corner.

Step 2: Fold triangle in half.

Step 3: Starting at the folded side, cuts slits almost up to the crease. For young children, you may want to draw lines for them to cut along.

Step 4: Open the triangle up so that you have a square again. Grab the two inner slits and connect to form a tube. Tape together.

Step 5: Flip over. Take the next two slits and connect to form a tube. Tape together.

I'm glad you like the folded paper rose post. I just cut colored copy paper down to 8 1/2" x 8 1/2". It makes big roses, but they seem easier to handle until you get the hang of it.
