the cheapest custom headboard you'll ever have
By lissa.anglinIn January, my husband and I finally moved out of our newlywed nest and into a larger apartment. It was like a breath of fresh air...and we had so much space, but with the bigger place and the cost that goes along with moving, we were broke.
My artistic mom and sister came to the rescue. We DIY-ed our way through every decorative feature in our home- including our headboard, which I'd like to share with you today.
We'd been given a beautiful new set of bedding, and I was not excited about the ultra-white apartment wall that was behind it, because we have no bed frame. So my sister just painted it on.
I love the results, and I love the fact that I could change it just as easily. It sets of the bed perfectly- and it cost us about 2.00. The inspiration for the design? Anthropologie's logo.
