Lindsay Weisenthal grew up in New York and early on found her interest in furniture design and everyday objects. She attended the Maryland Institute college of Art her freshman year in college and then transferred to the Rhode Island School of design to receive her BFA as a furniture designer. She has been working on integrating modern materials with traditional processes in order to achieve balance and texture. She has a reinvetive process to design, always trying to reapply old techniques and common materials. Her combinations of process and materials have transformed simple resources such as fishing like or rope into more precious, functional objects. Lindsay has developed a strong sensitivity for working hands on with materials in the design process and believes that it is the best means for innovative design.

On: This is a fabulous idea for reusing your wine and liquor bottles after your holiday parties. Just spray them with chalkboard paint. After the paint dries then rub chalk all over the bottle and then erase it. This will "prime" the bottle and give it that old chalkboard look that you so love! (Photo)
