In another life I was an 8th grade English teacher in a steel mill community.  Now, I'm a time zone away with a houseful of little boys--3 year old twins and a 6 year old.  And a husband.  Makes me miss teaching.    Anyway, I think my creativity stems from the abject poverty that accompanies a one income household.  Also, my beautiful husband is a wonderful father, but he's a writer and, well,  let's just say that Mother's Day is a day to celebrate new power tools in our home.

Okay, honestly, I was waiting for someone to come up with a better idea than mine, but perhaps this'll get you on the path to something that might actually be more what you want.  I was thinking of some sort of thinnish dowel-type trim--clean and mitred (I can do it, but I can't spell it) and lean and mean.  Seems like it would be sort of neutral in style and easy on the budget.

If you give me more details, then I'll give you more crap ideas.  maybe. Depends on if the twins nap or not.
