A different take on ceiling fan lights

I wanted something other than the same-old same-old for my new ceiling fan lights. Lowe's had these multi-colored shades that created a cool retro 60's look.

No, the OEM stuff was all the usual fluted-glass. Lowe's actually has a good selection of shades, and a very clever light table so you get a good idea of how they look. It appears they all have the same fit. I should have checked out a specialty store like Lighting Concepts to see what they have. Another discovery I made is that new compact florescent bulbs come in a more conventional bulb shape and not the old "twist-cone" style, which makes them more asthetically pleasing.
