I'm a college student who's about to move into her first apartment!! (Scary stuff!)... I'm lucky that I have an AMAZING roommate for next year who has already decorated the apartment beautifully, but now I've got to bring in my stuff to fill in the gaps that her old roomie will leave behind.
On a very meager budget, I'm hoping to find some great ideas on how to furnish/decorate my apartment in true DIY fashion!

So, I finally have some photos of my apartment!
By lafemmedramatiqueI moved in back in May, but I finally have pictures now!

Ah, a Hoosier! Welcome!
Don't worry-- Indiana is where I found some of my BEST vintage goods. And the cool thing is, there is a definite lack for style, which means--- LOW PRICES!
Trust me, I once scored a bakelite cameo for $2 from a garage sale b/c the owner thought it was plastic. I sold it out here for $400!
See, Indiana's not all that bad...

Welcome! I saw that you are from Indianapolis (as am I) and if you are going to school in Indy, and looking for cheap ways to furnish that exciting new apartment, make sure you join the indy freecycle group ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/IndyFreecycleNetwork/ ) -- there is always a ton of great stuff available, and all it costs is a drive to pick it up!
Cheers!
