a chandelier with simpler lines, but haa embellishments that make it a little dressier. This chandelier is from Julie Neill's collection, and is called the Vanessa chandelier. it is handcrafted by expert craftsmen in New Orleans.

Niermann Weeks makes an Italian chandelier that is similar, this one is to the trade only, and is at least $2,500 if not more

It is a bit difficult to see the pattern in this picture, but the diamond sisal works beautifully in this casually elegant room. Interior design by Caldwell-Beebe.

Beautiful chevron floors are featured in this room designed by Sharon Mimram.

One of my favorite stores in Atlanta, Mrs. Howard, has chevron pattern floors in one of their rooms (you can see a tiny bit in this picture). The entire store is designed like a home, and the rooms have the most beautiful architectural details. James Howard (husband to Phoebe Howard) is an interior and architectural designer, and designed all of the architectural features in Phoebe Howard's stores (Mrs. Howard and Max & Company).

The designer is Ondine Karady, and her background is in set design. She is one of the designers who created the beautiful interiors on the Sex and the City show, and now has her own design firm.
the billowing silk curtains (in coral), the large, arched French doors, the symmetrical mirrors and lamps, the streamlined sofa flanked with unmatched chairs (it softens the symmetry of the lamps and mirrors). I also spy the Barbara Barry for McGuire Script chairs on the side. I love that is is a formal room being used in a very casual way.
