Hello, I'm so happy I found this site. I think it is just what I need to help me out. I'm not sure exactly what my style is, I like contemporary, modern, country, Mediteranean, a little of everything I guess.

  What I love about my house is mainly the location. Nice old neighborhood with good neighbors in the suburbs. Since its an older home I have a pretty big yard, but the house is very small and there is no storage space so its very difficult to control clutter. I wish I could be a minimalist because I think I could be very happy there if I were, but unfortunately I am a terrible packrat and I have to constantly fight those tendencies. If you've ever watched 'Oprah' and seen the shows with the people getting 'decluttered', that would be me.

Many things need updating in my home, I'd like to do them myself, but need to build confidence along with learning how to do things.

At present, my main peeves is the flooring. I'd love to tear up the carpet and replace with tile and hardwood. I hope I'll find lots of good information on this site to help me beautify my home because it looks like I'll be stuck there a while!
