jpricemoore's photos » Custom paneling and cabinetry for home office/library

Img_1030

Description:

I installed the paneling and cabinetry in this library. Note the integration of the chair rail and the countertops of the desk and file cabinet. All paneling was scribed to follow the contours of the floor and ceiling. This project was built out of mahogany plywood with a dark stain. The condo where this project was installed is on the 55th floor of a new highrise building in downtown Chicago - an amazing place.

I love the no hardware detail. Very nice. Got a close up of that?

Sorry - no close up.  I'll try to get one, though.  We use something we call a "finger-bore," which is a small groove along the edge of the door or drawer that gives the user something to grip.  Works great for applications like this, where the customer wants a clean, simple look.
