Desk Plans???

By joye68

These days everything but my vehicles (I should be thankful, eh?) is breaking down. My camera went a few short days ago while trying to take a few shots. The desk broke when we moved it back into place. I have a board nailed in the back but it will not last forever.

Currently there is a corner unit computer desk in place, but I am very open to buildable desk plans I can modify into something retro, corner unit or not. I can use two parts of the existing unit and slap some wood on top of it, but I'd like to create something new if at all possible.  Can anyone point me in the direction of some free plans?

Nice! Thanks for posting the pics. I have those same shelves except they are the "aluminum" covered....

Thanks for the input. That sounds neat. Anytime you say pink though, I think extremely pink. I like the idea. I think I'll explore some green shades. If you ever have any pics, I think that would be great.

Cross your fingers, I may be able to get a new place to live, so I can do it all over again!!!!

We just built a desk at home, the legs were the tough part, but my wife found new desk legs she liket at ikea:

next we took a peice or 3/4 birch plywood, cut it down to size, rounded off the edges with a handheld router and stianed it pink (trust me it looks better than it sounds). Go to any woodworking shop and they will have a ton of stains, to match your decor. With the wood left over we made matching shelves.

I second the request. I too need a new desk as the old one needs replacing...

This post might provide a little inspiration. I used components from an old desk to make a new one.
