I live in a 12x7 dorm room right now. Oh, the joys of college living! The lack of space coupled with a negative cashflow means that I spend most of my design aspirations gazing at Interweb photos and dreaming of what I'm going to do once I get an actual apartment in a few months.
When I do get a bit of money, I like to spend it on craft supplies. I knit, sew, embroider, make zines, and do other random artsy things. I love making things that accentuate the things that I own, and I find myself making a lot of presents for my friends.

On: The "after" shot. I got this table for $3 at a yard sale, it was falling apart. I totally revamped it. See the whole process here on my blog. (Photo)
On: Our media center where we've got the tv, the record player, and the dvd/dvr/tuner thingie. We got that piece of furniture it's all sitting on at Ikea. Four of those drawers are stuffed with yarn stash. The rest contain dvds and other assorted things. We were ahead of our time by getting the low-slung media set up. Or I could say we were old fashioned, since we wanted a mid-century feel. Anyway, now all we need is one of those flat TVs. The records are illustrated by Jim Flora and one of our Shag prints can be seen on the far left. (Photo)
