Unhinged - Please Help

By jasimar

So I have this piece from Ikea.  It's a dark wood TV armoire of the Markor series.  The door hinges allow it to open about 180*.  But that's not enough, is it?  I want MORE!

Months after purchase, after removing thin doors and hiding them in the closet to keep safe my babe, I happen upon another Markor TV armoire of the same kind in the As-Is dept.  But this one is different... the hinges allow the door to open fully, butterflying out.

I rushed to the bell and then scooted to customer service but the only thing they could do is put me on a list of hopefuls waiting for parts to come in.

So my question is... can anyone help me figure out how to either aquire the proper hinges for this piece or rig up my own?

Hey Jas! I'd try to figure out what kind of hinges I have first and then try to find a suitable replacement. You might want to check out the huge selection of hinges at Rockler (woodworking gods) to help with both tasks.
