Make a Christmas Wreath

By heylucy

Now that Christmas decorating season has begun in earnest, here's a wreath I made for less than $8 in about 20 minutes:

I used a wreath form that I already had and a few supplies from the craft store (a package of sheet moss, a little white clip-on bird, 2 holiday berry picks and a little reindeer moss).

I just tore the sheet moss into strips wide enough to fit around the wreath form, gluing them in place with my trusty glue gun. When I had about a third of the form left to cover I arranged the berry picks so that the berries were on top of the moss and then wrapped the plain end bits of wire around the still-bare form. Then I finished covering the rest of the form (and twisted wire bits) with more moss, adding a little reindeer moss to give the bottom some weight and make a little bit of a platform for the bird. I covered my bird with clear glass glitter, which doesn't show very well in the picture, but adds a nice little sparkle. I like how it's traditional, but with a clean, modern twist.

Great idea. I love the vignette in the picture too.  It's really layed out nicely!
