My personal challenge is to break free of the power grid entirely and live comfortably using existing technologies that we typically waste or even re-cycle old technology and have fun doing it!

My favorite thing about my house is that I no longer have to live in it and am planning to live in my converted shed.  The problem with the house is that it is too big (1500 sq ft) and was placed on the wrong location on the property to get much passive solar effect, sun sets in winter at 3:00 as well making for very long nights while the shed is properly placed and has long days year round and excellent solar benefits.

Last thing I bought for my house was a new microwave oven.
