Does Your Apartment or Rental Prohibit Painting?

Decorative fabric makes an excellent backdrop particularly in a rented room or apartment where painting isn't an option. It can add texture and patters that wouldn't otherwise be possible with paint or wall-paper. It's also easy to change when you get bored of it - unlike paint or wall-paper.
Pictured here is a desk with very sheer fabric hanging on the wall behind it. The fabric has natural earth tones and a pattern of various leaves.
On the desk are small naturally colorful smooth stones.
There is a picture frame with pressed flowers in antique glass surrounding a motivational quote.
