Update: Stolen Art Mobile, got back

By frithmobiles

This large Jujumo mobile was stolen Feb. 2009 for a photo shoot to be in the new Reader's Digest magazine Fresh Home. Finding out a week after I made and shipped the mobile to Adam Hershkowitz in New York, that he is an art scammer. Stealing art and selling it on craigslist etc, or where ever he can. It is 28"W x 34"H Black, red and white plastic petals and stainless steel arms. If anyone has seen this mobile, please contact me ASAP. » READ MORE

New! Planets Baby Mobile!

By frithmobiles

As nicely reviewed in The Daily Candy, this new baby mobile is getting some great attention!  A glow in the dark planet mobile designed and made by Julie Frith. Done similar to an Alexander Calder styled mobile form with linking balanced arms, this is a new look with a traditional art flair.  The planets are arranged in line and constantly glide, slowly moving with the air currents.  Hang under a center room ceiling light, this will b » READ MORE

yard art, cats steps, tree sculpture

By frithmobiles

Jazz Steps
I wanted to create art in my backyard. Designed with recycled wood.... I made steps for my cat to go up the tree for a higher view. Each step is rounded to match the round tree, and each step is nailed in with 2 nails. Underneath I have a stainless steel bar for support, that goes into the tree and step.  Also, it is pretty cool art to look at.

Yard Art

By frithmobiles
I was putting the edgework in making a border for my grass in my backyard, when I was inspired to add some art.  One side is grass, the other is a water ditch / rut when it rains the water will channel it'self right out of my yard.  I can't stand soggy grass.  As I was adding the bricks I was at the end and instead of just going back....the artist in me said NO!  I must make art.  Anyway, I thought it turned (get it) out fun.
