Curbly

I've been jonesin' for those great suitcase chairs. I think I can figure out how to brace the suitcase on the top, bottom and sides. The cushions are doable, maybe not those great diamond pleats, but something simple. My one big question is how to brace the hinge to keep it from getting sprung or the back falling flat. Any ideas?

i was thinking the same recently. I'm going to go with using some of those metal L-shaped bars that go under shelves bolted into the insides.
