A little curbly related introduction:

I'm on my second house, and even though we've lived here for almost two years, we're just getting started really getting into working on it.

Our first house was a 150 year old Federal style, and we tore down some walls, redid all the electrical, built some fences, and made some general cosmetic changes.

Now we have a 1950s ranch, and I have vowed to never running electrical wire again. I'll DIY a lot of stuff, but now I know what it's worth to hire out for. And besides putting in insulation, vapor barriers, and patching the wood floors, now I get to do the fun stuff, like paint and decorate and remodel.
