I had a thought

By erinn

What if I used a different Marimekko fabric to inspire each room of our house?  Would my husband go crazy?  A little overboard?  Yes, I love them that much.

But seriously.  My husband and I have been talking about a tent or canopy over our deck.  And I saw that Marimekko makes plastic coated fabrics.  I wonder if they would withstand the elements?

All one would need are a few metal poles in concrete sono-tube, some wire and grommets.  I think.

If you wanted an alternative for outdoor fabric, use a shower curtain.  It is waterproof and some are even mildew resistant.

Ultra-fabs, idea.  Even if just in jest.  I would decorate with those fabrics as inspiration, absolutely.

And that tent project sounds great, too.

I have always loved Marimekko.  I would also put them in every room in my house!
