Ironing Out the Details

By erinloechner

Ok so if you're like me and hate to iron, take a cue from thimblescratch over at Etsy. Her fun, vibrant, and homemade(!) ironing board makes the daily grind a lot more fun to tackle.

You can purchase her design here for $20, or make your own:

Step One.
Pick your fave color scheme. Try one that matches your laundry room, kitchen, or wherever you do your ironing, just in case you happen to leave the board out in the middle of the day (oh my gosh, I'm turning into my mother!).

Step Two.
Buy strips of felt or a similar fabric and cut into random sized strips.

Step Three.
Staple with a staple gun to an extra board you've got laying around in the garage (you know you do...).  Attach to wooden legs, or leave alone for a traveling board you can use anywhere around the house!

Now that you've got a hot (no pun intended!) ironing board, you've got no excuse to skip the chore in the morning!
