Tick Tock, A New Take on the Clock...
By erinloechnerSo I was looking throug
h old Domino mag archives this morning and came across this great photo of a Madrid city street. Love it? Definitely.
I never know what time it is in my house, and I've got a thing about hating clocks. I just never find one that I love, or I find too many that I love and they don't match... not to mention-- where the heck do you put them? Kitchen? Bathroom? Bedroom? Is it possible to have a design-worthy clock?
I thought not... until now.
Am thinking this would look good anywhere in a house, but I'm especially dreaming of a brick fireplace to hang my old time pieces.
After all, time is money-- I say give it a whirl!

Manzabar and bekayem are right on. It's not really about telling time anymore. It's about the clock as an object, as a symbol. A wall crammed with old clocks that don't work. True timelessness.

This reminds me of a friends house. There were about 30 clocks hung on a kitchen wall. It looked great, but all the clocks one way or another get off time. Then you have to listen to the off beat "tic tic tics" and have a fun time trying to discover what time it is... it's like a game; Who knows what time it is?!
It's aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but you can't have good design without function. My two cents.
