Concealed Identity

By erinloechner

I love the look of this architectural statement, but is that a fridge and dishwasher? Not sure how that would pan out (pun intended) when you've got an armload of lasagna to freeze for leftovers.

Regardless, I'm loving the idea and am brainstorming what else could fit flush with my staircase. It seems to be the perfect place for a front-loaded washer/dryer. Or, aquarium? Pet's bedroom? Coat closet?

Thanks, DesireToInspire

I think this is a nice idea as far as looks go, but it doesn't seem like it would be very fuctionaly without a great deal of counter space to go along with it. As far as the fridge goes, I'm sure my mother would LOVE to have a way to keep my father from using the top of the fridge as a catch-all for stuff (which I can agree with, as borrowed my car the last time I was home from school and then put my keys on top of the fridge "so i wouldn't lose them"... I'm 5'1"... I had no idea where they were!)

But anyway, I think this would def. work best with an island across from it... It would allow for more floor space, but still have the counter space that's needed for, well, cooking!
