CraigsListRoundup: Thursday, April 12th!

By erinloechner

It's a miscellaneous kind of day, so check out the latest in Misc. CLR fun:

Vintage Buckaroo Game: $25
I seriously don't believe this. From 1947, an original 'Buckaroo' board game with all  pieces in tact. Seriously, if it wasn't in Glendale and if I didn't have a massive fear of L.A. freeway driving, I'd hike on over there this second.

Maybe they'll ship it?

Anyway, it's wonderful. Perfect for any collector, or maybe to spice up a kid's room. You know, be that annoying mom that every child hates by adding another 'look but don't touch' element to their haven.

Or, you know... it could be a gift, I guess.

Vintage Knoll Tulip Chairs (2): $395
SHUT UP. Instant love. Great chairs, great price... man. And I said I would never love the chair as much as the flower.

Would love this chair in a Victorian black and white bedroom... you know, to add some color. Or maybe even thrown at the end of a dining table to break up the boring set you have now.

Mid-Century Mod Chandelier: $200
Again, a cool find if you're into that sort of thing (by now you should know I am DEFINITELY not a mod fan. Give me kitsch or give me death).

Anyway, would look striking in an office lobby, maybe to accent some exposed brick? OR, if you've got one of those modernist all-white-big window sort of pad, this could definitely bring a touch of color.

Vintage Oven, Retro: $100
How... FUN. I wonder if this works?

Anyway, I shouldn't have to tell you how awesome this would look in a lemon yellow kitschy kitchen (SO up my alley). But if you don't HAVE a lemon kitschy kitchen, I'd absolutely display this piece in my living room as a TV stand. Weird? Maybe, but it would totally work. In my living room, that is.

Not loving the idea, or maybe you have a flat screen? Pair this piece in a bachelor pad's bedroom as a drawer for towels, clothes, misc. items.

Just be sure you wash it first, b/c... gross.

That's all, Curbly--- have a great weekend and see you next Tuesday.

OH, I ALMOST FORGOT--- HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD!

Hi there! Came across one of your posts on Curbly, and decided to check out your blog. I love your CL finds posts! At first glance, I cringed at the orange chair, but you're right--it would look great in a black-and-white Victorian bedroom, although I think a brighter and newer orange reuholstery job would make it look even better.
