CraigsListRoundup: Thursday, March 15th!
By erinloechnerLamps galore on today's CLR! Check it out...
1950's Table Lamp: $48
Love this lamp base. The shade is a bit... well, iffy, but the base has MASSIVE potential.
Would add a lime green square shade to maximize the retro look of the base. Maybe even a tall red shade would work well in a posh bachelor pad?
Love it.

Antique Floor Lamp with Original Silk Shade: $150
Again, a winner all around. FINALLY, a floor lamp without the horrid ribbing that screams "I got this off my 1996 wedding registry from Aunt Cath at Bed, Bath, and Beyond."
Really, I'm not bitter.
Nothing like the real deal. I'm astounded that this is the original shade, and it's in such great condition. Silk shades with such detail are so hard to find, and I'm ecstatic that it's so in tact.

Modern Table Lamp: $10
From Ikea, of course, but it looks a few seasons old, which is refreshing. One thing I've learned is that to avoid the IKEA commercial look in your house, keep your pieces for a few seasons and rotate them in with the new releases.
You'll find a fresh and eclectic look with a similar and common feel, which is ALWAYS a win in design.
Anyway, great lamp, great price!

Onyx Statuette Lamp Table Post: $20
Oh my gosh. This is GORGEOUS. It looks very onyx to me, but I have no idea of the finish. Regardless, I'd put this in a black/white Victorian room with a dash of hot pink (unless you're a guy, and then try mustard yellow). Actually, I take that back. If you're a guy, please don't have this lamp in your room, b/c well... that's just weird.
Love it. And for $20? Can't beat that.

Heavy Crystal 16" Lamp: $120
Pricey? Yes. But for real crystal? So worth it.
I'd pair this beauty with an antiqued vanity table in a spare bedroom or maybe guest bath. As long as the surroundings offer clean and modern lines for balance, you can feature this lamp anywhere you're in need of a focal point.
Note: Don't place it in a room with a large bed or fireplace; it will compete for the room's focus and ambiance, and a lamp like this can easily create kitsch.
Regardless, she's BEAUTIFUL.

Vintage Japanese Chrysantheum Lamp: $75
If this lamp were a high school student, it would win prom queen. Sweet, pear-shaped, and all-around fun, this piece has totally got my vote.
I love this shade's shape with the base. Totally works. You could switch up the color/fabric/detailing, but I'd keep the central balance of this shape to avoid a base-heavy look.
Adorable.

That's it, Curbly. Enjoy your St. Patty's weekend and I'll see you next Tuesday for more CLR fun!
