CraigsListRoundup: Tuesday, March 6th!
By erinloechnerIn honor of my co-worker's upcoming nuptials (congrats, Melissa!), today's CLR is all about the finer things in life: china. Because I live in California and have limited (ok ZERO) storage space, I've never pursued my love for collecting those beautiful antique teacups I so dream of.
Until now. Not only can I NOT pass up these prices, but I just love the idea of someone's old china. Who did they have tea with? How old were they? Was her/his set a gift, or a family heirloom?
Fortunately for you, I'll stop there and get to the goods (oh I could go on allll day...):
1940's Baravia Tea Set: $100
What. A. Beauty. This set comes with 24 mini-cups and saucers (not pictured), with all of the original pots, canisters, and sugar bowls in tact. A STEAL considering the price.
Not your average tea set from Germany, but hey, if you're playing seven degrees, you never know; you may be having tea with someone who's had tea with someone else who had tea with Kevin Bacon [in Germany, of course!].

Bradford Exchange Fine China Set: $24
How adorable. This totally reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen. She would serve me vanilla wafers on these plates, and when we were finished, we'd put them in the dish rack face side-up so we could look at the pictures while we were cleaning up.
Perfect for any antique lover, or for some extra memories around your homestead. I'd love these in a child's nursery; perfect for a girl or boy, hanging on a floating shelf in a nice, neat row.
Ah, to be young again...

Fine Englishbone China: $20 each
I can't believe how beautiful these pieces are. The intricate detailing, beautiful color tones, and unique interior artwork makes these Royal Grafton teacups/saucers just that: royalty.
Perfect for a nice Easter display, or even to [GASP!] drink out of when you have spring company. Because after all, a set like this can't stay in your china cabinet forever...

Dresden Dessert China Set: $20
Perfect for [ahem!] a bridal shower afternoon outside on a summery day.
I love the rose pattern, even though it's a bit kitchy. Paired with the right modern accents (lime green, maybe?!), the set would be fit for a queen (or bride!).
Cut the cake, dish it out, and send the bride home with her first set of antique china. She'll love it, and you won't have dirty dishes sitting around for days!
That's what I call fine china...

Happy feasting, Curbly! See you on Thursday...
