hello. design vs. art is an age old dilemma! Creativity relies on what you put into it. It's up to you to make the most out of your classes and push yourself to explore and learn while you can. If your teachers dont want to see work that goes outside of their expectations, see if you can figure out how to answer the problem and push the envelope as well.. they might appreciate that you are stimulating THEM to expand their minds about their jobs!
