Another crappy pic of one of my favorite shirts. Please ignore the cat hair all over.

She wanted the light to come in and the neighbor's nosey views to stay out. Since I was working at a sign shop at the time, I was able to cut these out of etched glass vinyl. I imagine you could easily do something like this by hand (and that's how I fixed the gaps and places that I screwed up when applying).
