Inexpensive modern tile?

By creede

I am looking for some good inexpensive modern tile for my bathroom. I love the ann sacks stuff, but would love it even beter if it was a little bit cheaper. I would love to do something on the walls with a funky proportion like 3"x12" or 3"x9".

creede,

You could always consider our tiles.  They are hand made modern relief wall tiles.  made of stoneware in a variety of colors, and less expensive than most of what Ann Sacks has.   You can find us at:

good luck in your search

You could try and get garden pave stones and do a faux finish on top. Then seal with poly or the like. that's a really cheap option! There are many books on concrete finishes available at major book stores.

That is some way cool tile (Ann Sacks). I like the art tile but it could be easily reserved for a border effect w/more inexpensive tile for the main part. Good luck!

Yeah, I thought about that. It would have to be a natural stone, or a solid porcelain with no glaze finish for it to look decent. None of those are very inexpensive, and it makes for a lot of extra work.

Creede, have you thought about using a wet saw to rip down stone tiles? using a combo. of 12 by 12 or 16 by 16 tiles of various slate, quartzite, limestone etc...cut as a brick pattern.
