I got this arc lamp (knock-off) for my wife for her birthday. It arches over our Poang chair, and makes a happy little spot to relax and read a book.

I like the Arc Lamp.  Bo Concept makes a really nice lamp too; more angular, with a straight shade.

Nice - the lamp really connects the high and low space in the room in a cool way.
