I may be the biggest sucker for Modern architectue you have ever found. Unfortunately I never have the budget for what I want. That is why I started Grassrootsmodern.com a blog about affordable modern design, and why I am here on curbly. To learn and share. My wife and I are doing a 600 sq/ft modern addition on our 700 square foot house.

DIY Modern Calendar

Affordable is good, but lets face it, you can't beat free. So when it comes to calendars for next year it doesn't get much better than the very free Blueant Studio Calendar. There are strings attached though, you have to make it yourself. They have included all the beautiful pictures with dates below, you just have to print them all out and bind them if you wish. Which modern Christmas tree

Every year my wife and I have bought a real Christmas tree, but this year we are thinking about getting a fake one. It just seems like such a waste to spend all those years growing a tree, cut it, and then after a few weeks throw it away. What I would really like is a white alpine Christmas tree, but apparently that is easier said than done. The only one I could find in my google quest was this one from ebay. I just checked out your blog grassrootsmodern.com. I ditto your philosophy and I hope the marriage between "contemporary design" and "affordable prices" = bliss.
Also, I think the addition you're working on with your wife sounds exciting. I hope you'll post photos of the process.
