Recycled Lucite Picture Frame

By createcass

I recently visited the Swaroski Boutique in Soho NY, and purchased some beautiful crystals.  Usually when I make bead purchases they put the beads in a clear little bag a thank you and off you go.  Not Swaroski, there beads come boxed and set in a little lucite frame.

It seems like a little over packageing to me.  However when I took it apart I saw another project.

I copied a picture of my grandparents to the size of the square and added a few graphics.

I tore the edges  then added black sprinkles.

Then closed up the bead holder.  The slider for the top got stuck, so I improvised and made it a double frame.

I love the double frame and I would feel guilty if I ust tossed it in the garbage.

Ha Ha Erika, that is funny, but the picture could put into the frame with out the "ants".  Please blame it on my photography skills

...and Dawn I will keep my eyes on the look out for these but I have only seen this packaging at the Swaroski store for thier beads.

Do you know any way someone could get their hands on a few of these?

I have to admit - I usually love the creative things posted here.  But this looks a little bit like trapped black ants eating a photo.
