Each night my son "cuddles" with his cat "baby" until they both fall asleep.The image of this cherub asleep makes my heart soar.
In addition, the time when he is alseep is my "creative" time to do things around the house -- so a double happy time in a way.
Despite all the decorative arts I love,this shows it doesn't take much to warm the heart. hope you enjoy the photo!

The textured glass and chrome ceiling lamp gives the walls the effect of being underwater when it's on. All the furniture is vintage and even the painting is a vintage original Lee Reynolds.

Blood Red Sun

It faces east (on the west side of the house) so the south sun floods in come morning. The way the color glows and warms is like no other. It's like emotion on a wall, mixed with eyecandy. YUM!

A cozy home
By inkyRI just moved (Thanksgiving weekend) my cozy, white-draped home from a small 20's-era studio into my partner's condo, which was built in the 1980s. The studio is a very bright corner unit with lots of windows (that are not heat efficient, by the way!) and natural light. It was very easy to be happy in this place just from the natural light bouncing off the bright walls. MY favorite space, of course, was where I slept.

Always a happy place with kitties
By cstrat2Where ever my kitties are is a happy place. In the winter our favorite place is cuddling in my big round bed... there is always room for everyone :). We go under the covers play and cuddle, staying warm during the cold Chicago days. In the summer the happiest place is outside on the balcony. It's nice to have a place to get away from the claustrophobic-ness of the small studio and play in the fresh air.

A bright, cheerful corner of my kitchen features some of my favorite objects, including the soft, bright Marimekko pillow and the fun Domo Kun. Next to it, a small table is stocked with books and stuffed monsters. This is the best place to sit while the sun is shining, and breeze swishing the curtains around, particularly if you've got a slice of homemade bread to munch on.
