I am mom to 3, living in upstate, NY but getting ready to move to Indianapolis by the end of June 2008. So lots of home improvements are beckoning as I ready the house to put on the market.

Multi-computer home work station- ideas?

So 2 sons and dh all have computers (and throw in an x-box and flight sim yoke) so we have a disaster of cords and piles of electronics. UNSIGHTLY, to say the least, and not terribly efficient to have to move one person's stuff to get to your own. I would like a decent looking work station that the three of them can sit at side by side, and doesn't look like an an electronic land fill when finished. I sure would appreciate any dieas you have for DIY or any links to reasonably priced alternatives. Thanks so much! »MORE

DIY Nav-mat for GPS?

Yikes! Those things cost $42 each! You know, the heavy bean-bag ringed mats that you can put on your dash bod and either lay your phone and gps in or suction them into. Any ideas how I might make one of my own? My GPS won't suction to my van windshield, for whatever reason, and the dashbd is made from the wrong material to allow suctioning. Ideas sure would be appreciated! »MORE
